My drawings and animations explore the interactions and emotions of colors and the absence of color. I work primarily digitally, using Photoshop and a Wacom Intuos drawing tablet. The devastating Rennell Island oil leak influenced my work here.



Kelly Emmrich is an illustrator and animator living and working in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her work has appeared in Moonhood Magazine and The Emerald. She studied creative writing and animation at the University of Mary Washington. She is currently working as a beer label designer for a microbrewery in Afton, Virginia.
