This is a detail image of a much larger oil painting (48x72in) that explores the fate of coastal cities in the wake of climate change and sea-level rise. This painting was created as part of a series called Embodied Landscapes which investigates system of oppression and exploitation by examining the ways these processes reflect in the human form and in the landscape. 

Kaylee Warner is an undergrad environmental and art student who looks for ways to combine creativity and self empowerment with social and environmental justice.
